Signing rights away and back child support

i live in Georgia. My exwife wants me to sign my rights away so her new husband can adopt our children. I do not have aproblem with that because Ihave not seen or talked to them in over five years. I owe back child support though and she says if I do this then she will get the back child support forgiven. Is this possible?

Yes, if the arrears are non-publuc assitance arrears, meaning they are owed to the custodial parent and not to the state, it can be possible.

That said, it is also despicable that you are estentially trading a child for the forgiveness of this debt.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
