What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana

My childs mother, (we where never married) is about to file for child support and lives in Louisiana and I live in Texas. Which state should I get a lawyer in? Also which states child support guidelines will I fall up under?

Are there any orders at all right now related to the children such as custody, visitation or child support?

If so, what state are they issued from?

If there are no orders, then Louisiana is the proper venue for all these issues. Louisiana child support guidelines will apply.

Depends. Is Mom filing an independent action, or is she going through the state CSEA? Are you the legal Dad, or will there be a DNA test involved?

She I going thru the state. And I am the legal dad
LA CSEA may very well contact TX CSEA to help establish the order. If they do, you will be paying per TX guidelines. If you accept LA's jurisdiction, you will be paying per LA's guidelines.
