Stipulation filed through court already....What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA and i have received the copy of the court ordered cs stipulation. its been over 6 months since i filed for cs and still have not received any checks. doe anyone know an estimate of how much longer it will take and what is the next process after the court receives the stipulation papers? my x told me they'll just take it out from his income? how does that work? |

| My support order went in to place over 10 years ago and I still haven't seen a dime.

| Both of you should use the free services of Child Support Enforcement. They will tack on interest, get Judgments, and enforce the order if they can locate the obligor [locating has gotten better, as federal resources/data banks have become accessible to CSE]. Best of all, in CA, CSE (as they are a gov agency) automatically [no court hearing] suspends the driver license of an obligor who is in arrears (and also their passport, their other licenses, they put liens on property, etc) ... this often brings the obligors to court, voluntarily. They may not get obligor to pay, but they will make him/her miserable, and remind them of their obligation. Best of all, they are free. |

here in Sunny CA, they just opened the website where you can veiw your account online. call CSE and ask for your PIN and you participant IDto be mailed to you. it takes 6 months to notify an intent to suspend license, 6 months for the wage garnishment, (i remember them happening all in the same month a few years back), now keep in mind what happens alot is once the wage garnishment starts, NCP quits his job. it doesn't always happen, but be prepared for it. call the CSE and ask if a wage garnishment is being put in place. maybe they need some extra info to have it served.
