What is the name of your state? New York

My friend got his girlfriend pregnant they only know each other or 2 months...so they really don't have a relationship...they tried moving in together and having the baby together but it didn't work out...now he moved out and she is saying that the baby is not his and that she doesn't want him involve in her or the babys life...shes threaten to move to DR if he tries to contact her...the girl still speaks to his sister so he is kept updated on the pregnancy..hes planning on just showing up to the hospital when shes in labor and insisting on signing the paternity papers but if she doesnt let him can he file a paternity suit? will they give him a dna test to make sure the baby is his?? and if she lets him sign...should he then go to child support and request a dna as well as enter his daughter into the system? cuz he is pretty sure that she is going to deny him visitation rights...what's his best move right now without risking her moving to DR...im assuming he should avoide lettingg his baby be born in DR...

Yes, he absolutely should file for paternity after the child is born, if he wants to be part of the child's life.

No, there is absolutely nothing he can do to assert his rights until after the child is born. He cannot stop Mom2B from moving anywhere she pleases, before the birth.
