What is the name of your state? Washington

not sure where to post this so putting it here...

I live in Washington and a woman in Oregon has a proposition for me that I don't even know is legal so I'm curious about it.

basically she's interested in paying me to father her child that she wishes to raise on her own and is having her lawyer draw up a notory letter to assure no future obligation via finances or physical appearance on my part

anyone know about this sort of thing?

My response:

She's lying to you. She doesn't have an attorney. There is no attorney in these United States who would advise her that a "notarized letter" would do anything from a legal standpoint. There are legal procedures for doing this; e.g., using a sperm bank as an intermediary. But a letter? She's a liar.

can you link me to information on the subject of how to legally go about it?

My response:

No. I just know the law on this subject. If she thinks that a "letter" would be legally viable to "usurp" and "abrogate" the court's jurisdiction in this matter, then she's "in outer space."

Have her pay a Family law attorney to give you a consultation on this issue.

I'll talk with my lawyer and have her setup a meeting with a family specialist before proceeding

why isn't legally written and notorized letter a solution?

for BDSM and rape purposes they have contracts both parties sign and if one or the other attempts to bring legal charges the contract is binding for what activities were agreed to which negates laws regarding physical and sexual assault so why would a mutual consent form not work in this situation?

Because this situation brings forth a THIRD person, a child, who has separate rights as a person themselves.

DON'T DO IT! Haven't you read the papers, heard the news stories, etc., on this? You will be responsible for child support for the child you knew you helped create. No notarized letter will ever get you out of it. Tell her to go to a sperm bank or go take a hike.
