I live in Mass. and that is where the order is from. I'm just confused as to why I have to pay so much?? It' a pretty simple math but I'm getting hit over the head hard. Ex and I are very amicable still just can't figure it out.
Frustrated that's all. Thanks for your feedback...
If order is MASS, then MASS is the guidelines used.
Your ex could file to pull jurisdiction to CT - where she and the child reside now -- but it would be up to MASS rather they allowed it to transfer to CT. Most states don't like to give up jurisdiction (some parents bounce back and forth).
Is it possible that the ex would work with you for a voluntary reduction -- if she doesn't need the money, and she isn't on state assistance (state won't give up their cash very easy) -- you might talk to CS and see if they cana reduce it.
Worse they could say is NO.
