What is the name of your state? NJ

Hubbys ex and daughter live in NJ. We live in different state.

Hubby's daughter is supposed to graduate college in May. Ex and daughter told him probably not, but maybe in Dec. He knows nothing else. They won't give any info.

He is thinking of filing pro se to get daughter emancipated in May. If nothing else, at least the ex would have to show the court that no she is not graduating in May but in Dec. His thought is that at least the judge will have her statements that daughter will be graduating in Dec. and he will set that as her emancipation date.

Again, that is if she is even graduating this year.

I know no one knows what a judge would do, but hubby is curious to know that say she is finished with college in Dec but commencement isn't until May 08, will a judge extend emancipation until That later date?

His divorce papers state child support will stop when child is finished with college. And NJ being NJ he will still have to file papers to have her emancipated. And with NJ being NJ I worry about him not having a lawyer.

Thanks in advance.
