What is the name of your state? TX
A judgement is in place and a Writ of Execution issued. Can constables enter a homestead to search for items of value? Is there an exemption for a single car, basic furnishings, computer, TV, etc.?

There was not timely notification of the judgment filing by our counsel and so no defense was entered. What options exist to set aside or re-open a filed judgement case?

This happened to us

Georgia We had a state judgment against us and the writ was placed without notification. We presently have a federal case filed against this debt collector who is in violation of due process rights. We also had to file Ch. 13 to stop the writ. From our understanding, if we did not file Ch.13, the next step would have been a visit from a sheriff to seize our property.
