Alias Execution; RE: Original Lost??

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

I received a Plaintiff's Motion for Alias Execution. It says "Plaintiff States under oath that the original has been lost or misplaced"

I suspect this is related to a judgement or sorts against me as a co-signer of a restaurant loan for a friend of mine which he defaulted on. I haven't heard from the Plaintiff's lawyers for 2 years?! Does anyone know what this could be? I lost my job, I'm broke and about to loose my home...can this thing make things worse?? Do I need to show up in court for this? Would it help or hurt?
