What is the name of your state? California

I'm trying to find the West's Annotated California Codes section/page/text that will answer the basic/generic question of "Is the owner of a dog liable for the damages sustained by someone bitten by the dog?"

Thank you.

Ca. - Lawyer needs only to prove that the bitten victim plantiff was lawfully on the premises where the dog attack occurred & that the dog bite caused injury to the bitten plantiff. The defendant of dog bite law suit, who owns the dog, is then liable for all injuries & damages suffered by the dog bite victim. (to summarize info)
