What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I didn't know where to post this, so I thought civil was the best.

A 45 year old man lied about his age to my daughter, she is 19. He looks younger and told her he was 32. He got her comfortable enough at her place of work to invite her up to his hotel room when he came thru town on busines. Does she have any recourse against this man? She is in depression and it has has effected all family relationships.

Tell her that if she liked him otherwise, there's no reason to be upset about a number, it is essentially meaningless.

If the digits themselves are too much to get over, then I guess everyone involved can understand why he had to lie. Sometimes you force the world to make sense, by any means necessary.

This isn't illegal or even immoral.

**A: the word is affected, not effected. The effect he had on her may have affected her now. She has no recourse and it takes two to tango.

Absurd. The biggest lie here is her perception of what 45 is. It's so strong that it's more powerful now than what she saw and experienced with her own 2 eyes.
