What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Michigan

I was in a relationship for over 3 years and purchased a home with my girlfriend. We both contributed equal amounts and paid cash for a manufactured home. I did not have my name put on the title because my divorce was not finalized. I went to secretary of state after my divorce was finalized, however they wanted to charge us 3,000 dollars in tax to do that - so trusting her - I did not go forward.

The relationship has now ended and I would like to recover some of my investment. She is now claiming that the money was a gift. I paid all the bills and expenses for the home and have very detailed records and proof. She claims that I gave her this gift and paid for nothing during our relationship.

Is there anything that I can do to prove that this was not a gift and that I do have a interest in the home? Any suggestions on how to handle this, I am sure that other people run into this sort of thing.
