What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
i was caught shoplifted when i was 16. the police took my finger print then release me to my parent. i went to a program call Peer Court and they gave me 40 hrs of community service and a letter of apology. i finished and now my case is closed and sealed. however, i am applying for job and they asked me if i have ever been convicted with "civil court".
my question is what is civil court and criminal court.
and what catergory my case fell under?
