What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA

My ex threatened me recently stating that I was going to be tried for perjury. One of the accusations stems from when I was deposed and did not know the answer to a question, and the other was a question that had to do with a mental health diagnosis - specifically a code. Another has to do with a form I may have filled out, but it did not look familiar to me at the time. I do not know what else, but those are the ones I was told about.

In any event, can some disgruntled ex just charge me with perjury, and if so,

What are the grounds they need to prove to get it to a trial?

What needs to be proven at trial?

And can I just reciprocate and do the same thing to them?

No. He can file a complaint with the local police or prosecutor who will look at the evidence and decide if there is sufficient enough to support a charge.

Hmmmm.... start with proof that you perjured yourself.

What needs to be proven at trial?
That you knowingly or purposely lied when under oath.

And can I just reciprocate and do the same thing to them?
If you have proof of them lying under oath, yes.
