What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

I am in the process of getting a divorce, and we had our first court date. We had a Commissioner instead of a Judge. Is there anyway to have a Judge instead of the Commissioner? Is it possible to change after it has been started?

The commisioner has the same power as a judge when it comes to divorces, there is no reason for a judge to hear your case.
