What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

If someone is making false accusations about someone and spreading the accusations verbally and via email (I have electronic copies), accusations which are potentially damaging to character and employment reputation, what recourse is there legally? Any specific requirements as to what constitutes defamation?

Very simple. Pay $10,000 or so, spend 2 years in litigation waiting for case to get to court. Show up and PROVE YOUR DAMAGES (not potential damages, REAL damages). Hope you win. Hope you collect.

Yep.
