default judgementWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL How are default judgements brought into play? Do the courts check to make sure the party was properly served? If I am not properly served and do not have notice of the summons, do the courts check to make sure the defendent was properly served? Or is a default judgement allowed to be entered, and then I have to prove that I was improperly served and go back and reverse it. |

| Never mind, I think I got it... 1) Certified Mail 2) Sheriff 3) or Processor.. My company keeps getting these "lawsuits" via regular mail, and its all garbage. I just hope that they are not able to sneak in a judgment anyway.. |
