A friend from Maryland is getting married to a man who has several law suits pending because of debts he owes. Once they are married, will the bride then "inherit" or be responsible for those debts, too?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Once they are married, will the bride then "inherit" or be responsible for those debts, too?

Not directly. However, any attempts for 'joint credit' (furniture, car, house, etc.) will be affected by HIS credit history.
