What is the name of your state? Michigan
We have formed a "concerned citizen" group to challenge the Polkton Charter Townships' pursuit of what we view as frivolous lawsuit. The case to date has been at the circuit court level and has been rejected at least three times thus far and now the township has taken the case to Michigan Appeals Court. Our concern is that our tax dollars are being used in a frivolous manner and that the township is carrying out a vendetta. What would be the best method of exposing this case without causing further rift and to bring it to a halt before the case is taken to the next level? The history can be viewed at:
http://courtofappeals.mijud.net and searching on case number 248935. It involves the defendant being refused a permit to build a pond as part of a community development. The engineered drawings have been approved. The planning commission did not state or reference local code in their rejection.

When an issue involves possible wasting of tax dollars; it is usually very helpful to get the tv people involved. This puts the issue in sight of many more people and those politicians and lawyers sure don't like that kind of public attention!

So, if you have an investigative tv news station nearby; contact them. If they think it is news worthy, they'll air it!
