What is the name of your state?Ma.

For unpaid rent and eviction. A lawyer was hired and the case will go to trial in mid nov.
What can a lawyer do better than representing yourself? Assuming you have all the documentation needed and you did not violate the tennents rights? (in this case the tennent is holding a few items such as shirts and books in the house and stating no entry on the door of the home. He is residing elsewhere but hadn't paid the rent in one month going on two but wont release the house).
Can a lawyer speed things along such as getting a sheriff to the house to ensure the belongings are gone?
