What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio

I have a promissory note for $10,000. signed by a couple that bought my house. I lowered the price of the house by $10,000 so they could get a loan which they did.

I gave them five years before they had to start making payments. The five years were up this past January and we haven't received any payments. What are my options for collection of this note?

Thank you...

Talk to a debt collection attorney about how to garnish their wages or attach their bank account or get a book from a bookstore about how to collect a judgment from nolopress.com

You should foreclose on the mortgage you put on the place to secure this note.

If you didn't do that, then you must file a lawsuit against the bad people and get a judgment.

Only then will you be able to start collection.
