How do I subpoena documents on my own?I live in Washington State. I am being sued by a collection agency. I have been disputing the debt for almost two years and I am going to fight it in court. I cannot afford a lawyer. How do I go about getting the documents from the original company that alledged the debt? I need things such as personnel records, sign in sheets and a copy of health inspection records. I have requested a continuance and was given another 3 weeks. Not a lot of time. What do I do? |

Well, without putting you through law school, and paying the tuition myself, I'd recommend that you go to your nearest Barnes & Noble bookstore and buy a good book on the litigation process and procedures, found in their "legal section". Good luck to you. IAAL |

| Hey, let's be fair. Books can also be bought at Borders or any local bookstore or even ordered online via amazon.com or nolo.com I just got my book order within 2 days from amazon. Simply amazin. So will start reading "An Idiot's Guide To Posting on Law Forums For Dummies". |
