Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress
Breach of Duty

The victim in this case has been diagnosed with PTSD, she must take medication and see a doctor once a week. The psychological damage is significant. She will need care for the rest of her life.

If you were to sue somebody for doing something outrageous, horrid, and vile to you and your children, spanning years. What else would you tag on to this kind of a lawsuit? What are the standards of evidence required? I would like you to imagine the worse kind of behavior and abuse that would make you bring a lawsuit like this against someone. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If you're looking for replies from attorneys ONLY, then you're in the wrong place.

Although we have a few around here, the majority of members are volunteer non-professional laymen answering from their own personal experiences.

If you need an attorney, I suggest you contact your local bar association for a referral.
