What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina
I install access control ( electric door locking systems) and have a store owner who wants me to install a door lock which will activate only when he pushes a button and will also release when he pushes a button to release. This is to prevent a would be robber from entering and/ or prevent a robber from escaping after a robbery. Can this be done legally without an emergency release button that the would-be robber could access and escape?
