What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

In a limited civil case where there are two plaintiffs and one defendant, is the damages award limited to $25,000 total for both plaintiffs or $25,000 total for each plaintiff?

The judge has mentioned three times he is going to advised the jury that there are two plaintiffs in this action.

Also, does this mean that the two plaintiffs should prepare two sets of jury instructions and verdict forms rather than just one set?

Thanks.

The limit is $25k PER action (not per plaintiff). If one lawsuit, one limit.

**A: each Plaintiff should have filed separate complaints.
