What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

Can anyone tell me what the mechanics of obtaining a harassment prevention order in Massachusetts when the new law takes effect on May 10th?

My local DA's office said that this new law is "tailor made" for my situation, but I'm not sure where to go or what to ask for.

Should I go to the district court and ask to file a motion?

How much evidence do I need to present at the hearings?

Should I bring witnesses to the first hearing, or wait for the other party to respond?

How similar is this order to a 209A in Massachusetts?

The DA said I can bring a lawyer with me. Not sure I can afford one, but what sort of attorney should I be looking for?

Thanks for any direction you can offer.
