Out of State-Out of MoneyWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California I and my employer are being sued in California and I live in Illinois. My employer is going out of business and I do not have the money to pay a California lawyer or even for long distance phone calls as i am soon going to be out of a job. The lawyer they hired tried to get it dismissed and failed on the grounds the court had no jurisdiction. Now I am sitting on a mound of questions they want answers to, about to have no lawyer, and am not sure what to do. Any suggestions? |
