Re: protecting our property

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tn.

A couple bought the property next to us, and titiled it in their names. Right after we found out they bought the property to use for a humane shelter of which they are the president. They are restoring the property with some of the non-profit fund, we are sure, because the carpenter , whom was cheated of some of his pay, told us he was paid from the fund of the humane society, as stated on the check. We believe they a pulling a scam, as they do not operate the shelter under the proper guides of the US Humane Society. We want the shelter gone in our neighborhood because it is ruining our property value , and the animals are not taking care of properly and left unattended to run at large. What recourse do we have?

Check Zoning ordnances for allowable uses.

Call animal control to have them cited if they are really letting the animals run at large.

This really has nothing to do with your situation. The US Humane Society is not a government entity...
