A suit was filed against 11 individuals over a lease dispute. 4 tenants and their parents as co-signers of the lease. After several months of litigation, 5 out of 11 people decided to settle and paid the plaintiff ammount X. Can the plaintiff continue to seek full original judgement againts the remaining defendants? Does he have to subtract the ammount received from settling parties? What does the law say about collecting damages from several defendants?

Thank you,
Anton
