What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

We turned a attorney into the state board for fraud. He was our corporate attorney and when the corporation was breaking up he was conspiring against us with the other partner to basically screw us over. The state bar has not yet made a ruling. We were just served from the federal court that this attorney is suing us for turning him in and getting copys of emails that he sent through our corporation to the other partner. The courts here ruled in our favor that it is fraud.
My question is: Is there a statue of limitations and if so what is it.
Also is there anything we can do because we are sure that this is retaliation for turning this attorney into the bar
