    Suing for medical expenses?

    What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina

    I was recently the victim of domestic violence. The parents of the abuser provided the finances for him to leave town and avoid court. Am I able to sue the parents for the medical expenses since because of them I am unable to sue the abuser?
