What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia

Greetings,

Can anyone provide some insight here? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Can you bring a claim against an employer in federal and state court? Let me explain: The court ruled that "the failure of an organization to follow it's own procedures and rules is not a federal issue." The suit dealt with due process. Now, if the suit is still in the federal court, can I bring the sole issue of following an established state regulation/law (grievance procedure) to state court while the other issues are being dealth with in federal court?

Thanks for any help you can provide!
