Just because a car (police or not) is driving the same way you are does not mean they are "following" you. If you're uncomfortable, turn into a parking lot or a side street, or pull over and pretend to answer a call on your cell. Lock your doors. Be an adult.

Pretend to answer a call on your cell ... lock your doors ... be an adult....

Or, stop doing whatever it is that you are doing to make you nervous in the vicinity of police.

Police are allowed to follow suspected violators around, hell, until they stop you they don't even need an articulable reason. We call this "good police work."
