Is it legal to force religion on a minor in the state of Ohio?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania

I want to know if it's legal to force religion on a minor in the state of Ohio. My girlfriend lives there and her parent's force it on her by making her practice it, attend church, go to a religious camp, and a religious boarding school(against her will of course). She is 15. This can't be legal. Thank you for any and all answers.

You need to understand the protections afforded to us by the constitution. Your freedom of religion means that the government cannot intercede or impose itself upon you or your religious choices.

it protects her parents rights to parent their child how they see fit. she doesn't have to believe the same religion as they do, but she does have to follow their rules.

It would be a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment if Ohio were to enact laws interfering with parents' fundamental right to make decisions concerning the care and control of their minor children (religious upbringing included).
