What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

Situation: Veterans home has limited internet for its members (vets), Currently only one unit out of 13 has limited access. Some internet sites are being blocked for various reasons. Internet sites like you tube, government sites, lottery sites, anything to do with guns, knives, adults, some automotive, 3 government (representative) websites are all being blocked from the members.

Even some parts of emails are being blocked. Those that contain links or pictures.

The Home considers Internet access to be an "activity" that can be regulated. Members feel they are being micro managed, and rights being violated.

The question is: Does the home have a right to block access? And is the blocking of various websites, a violation of the members (veterans) rights?

Thanks.

Nothing in your post suggests anything illegal. The owner of the internet access had the right to block what they wish.
