The county (Prince William) has plans to add a fire station set back well inside our gated community.

At a public meeting with county officials, the county council present stated that they would not indemnify the Association.

Does general liability capture the potential exposure to fire and rescue traversing private residential streets, by a pool recreation center, a blind traffic circle and through a narrow brick and iron gate before it enters public roads? Could road maintenance, snow removal or gate operation offer additional exposure?

I know emergency responses are particularly litigious in nature.

The association is currently run by the developer (Toll Brothers) and I feel the long term liability is not being assessed as they will hand off ownership to the residents once the station is operational.
