UPS Insurance Claim

What is the name of your state?I just moved to AZ for college and shipped my computer and moniter down form PA. I bought insurance on both and each was boxed exactly as the manufacturer had it, plus newspaper for some cusioning. Well I got both and the niether worked. The computer's disc drives had fallen into the case and the inside frame was bent and I'm not sure but it would turn on but not load up. The moniter started once, had a big blur in the middle of the screen, then freaked out and turned off. Couldnt get it to work after that.

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I need advice. I dont have another $2,000 to drop on a computer and I badly need one for college. Any help would greatly be appriceated.

What advice do you need?
You bought insurance, so use it by making a claim to UPS.

Oh, my bad. I did make a claim and they said they wouldn't cover it because of improper packaging, but I asked them if I shipped it the same way as it was when the manufactuers shipped it, if it would be covered and ok, they said yes. Now they say they aren't going to cover it.

So appeal.

I'm in the process, but I just want to plan ahead incase they beside to not cover it for whatever reason, my packing meets their standards. So if the appeal falls through, what legal action can I take and what's the best route?

I am in SC and have begun a UPS claim for a damaged bicycle. I have begun to research there practices and it is apalling how many people are singing the same tune. I wonder what the stipulations of a class action lawsuit for insurance fraud are in cases just like this.
