What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Missouri

Back in January I started participating in the Microsoft Windows Feedback Panel. In this program, I give them access to my computer (mostly for feedback). In return for giving my feedback, I was supposed to receive a full, legal copy of Windows Vista Ultimate.

I e-mailed the Windows Feedback Panel SEVERAL times. They have responded and verified that I did submit the information properly and that I will receive the operating system. The first time they said I would receive within 30 days. After 30 days, I e-mailed them stating I did not receive the product. They acknowledged they did not ship it and would ship it soon. 3 weeks later, I still have not received the product and have seen no other information from them.

Since they have access to all of my personal information (even though I willingly gave it) I think this is breach of contract since I agreed to give them access in return for the access. I have kept documentation of everything, so that is not a problem.

I am also participating in their Windows 7 RC feedback panel and was promised a full, legal copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. Considering I haven't seen the Windows Vista operating system, I highly doubt I'm getting Windows 7.

To be blunt, I am pissed. Does anyone know what my legal options are?

You may feel free to sue them over a breach of contract if you like. While I do believe you are certainly in the right, I'm still going to attempt to discourage you from actually suing because the legal costs of such a lawsuit will far outweigh the price of both OS's combined. Something that might be cheaper is to retain an attorney to send a nice legal-sounding letter to them regarding your concerns.
