I know the internet laws are not great but is there any law to protect people from harrasment online? normally I wouldnt care but this person lives close and although they have not actually threatened me online they are exhibiting paranoid behavior and making me a bit uneasy. I am alone in the day with 2 children under 2. is there anything I can do to protect myself and my family in situations like this?

There is nothing magical or special about the internet -- if you feel threatened by another person, you can file for a restraining order.
