police took computers

Nearly a year ago the police came to my house (i live with perants) and took away all the computers, laptop, dvds and memory cards, there was one laptop they cant get in (which is a friend of my brothers) because the laptop is broken. my dad rang up to see if we could get the computers back, but they said no, they said they have checked all the computers and laptops and theres nothing on them. but they cant get into this broken laptop. my dad rang up again last night and asked about getting them back. they said if my dad rings again they will have him done for arrasment. surly they cant do that. they have got the computers and there not giving them us back, we keep being told diffrent things and the case keeps getting moved onto another police person.

Wheels of Justice move slowly. We have pc's sitting more than 2 - 3 years. As far as the broken laptop all they have to do is pull the hard drive out and test to see if it works. If the hard drive is completely dead it will have to be sent to a company with clean room to have data extracted.

They probably won't deal with you directly you will probably need a lawyer to get some answer's.
