What is the name of your state? NY(New York)
Hello. I want to make a website that will have an adult content on it and visitors will have chance to register(for money) and only after they do it they will have access to the pictures but they won't be able to copy them to their computers(copyrights). By the way, pictures contain images of famous pornstars and models and all of the people displayed on them are adults and are NOT under age of 21. Website will also have warning which states it contains adult content and visitors under 18 should leave right a way. What else should i consider when opening this kind of web site. Is it legal in NY, or what should I do if there are some restrictions to make it legal if there is a way. Sorry for inapropriate theme. Thanks.

"pictures contain images of famous pornstars and models"
So how did you come by the copyright to these images? You have the proper documentation showing you have the copyrights or have the authority to distribute them?

"they will have access to the pictures but they won't be able to copy them to their computers"
And how will you magically accomplish this. Any picture in a web browser can easily be copied. If you use IE specific anti-copying features, these can be turned off by disabling Javascript or using a different browser. If all else fails a screen capture will work.

Despite your thoughts to the contrary, you are distributing these pictures and need to own the copyrights for them.

Be sure to prevent access to all users outsiode the US or else bone up on all of the internation laws regarding obscenity.

Be prepared for at least 20% of your users to be using stolen credit cards, and expect high CC fee rates (over 5%) and lots of chargeback costs.

I agree with you on this one. I need the right to distribute them to the public, but not all of them are protected by copyright law though.

There is no magic at all. It's easy, trust me.

Can you explain please how exactly to prevent? Is it to close the access to the website or just to warn the visitor?

I also would like to find out if that kind of website is even legall in the U.S.(NY state)...

Of course its legal. Just go with a host like EV1 which makes a good portion of its business hosting porno sites.

As for the technology to prevent picture copying, I can guarantee it will not work 100% of the time. There is always a way. For example, If I am on my computer, and connect via terminal server to a second computer, then take a screen capture of my computer window showing the computer window of the second computer, will your special software prevent this? I didn't think so.
