Compelling my HOA to take action


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I am wondering if I have legal recourse to compel my HOA to affect repairs for which they are responsible and have known about for more than 15-months? My home owners association has known about repairs necessary to the stairs that access my unit for approximately 15-months and has failed to take corrective action. I am now getting ready to place my unit on the market, and have been informed by my realtor that the lack of repairs will not pass an inspection. Do I have any recourse to compel the HOA to take the necessary corrective actions?

**A: time to sue them to perform.
