What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? DE

The HOA Maintains fire sprinklers. The pipe exploded on the 3rd floor, causing water damage to the 3rd floor, going down to the 2nd and 1st.

I would think the HOA Master Insurance Policy should be liable and the deductible paid by the HOA (not each homeowner).

Another owner is claiming only the owner affected (injured) would be responsible for the deductible. Does this sound correct?

The best way to handle this is to put in a claim with your insurance company. Then let the insurance companies deal with each other. Ask the insurance adjuster about getting the deductible paid.
