We recently filed a claim with our master building insurance policy to fix some structural problems caused while a 3rd floor unit owner was remodelling. There was extensive damage done to the unit below which insurance is covering also , except for the guys painting. The guy on the 3rd floor had his own guys come in and completely f****-up the plumbing which is why we have all of this damage to begin with. Our building insurance deductible is only $500 but legally can our board retrieve this money back from him before he sells that unit?? The guy on the 3rd floor hired his own plumbers once again to fix all of this and won't take any of our phone calls. How can we be sure if the problems are fixed??
