Question

lack of board members

What is the name of your state? Missouri

We are a small condo community (4 buildings, with 4 townhouse units each). Although we have several issues we really need to resolve soon. I am inquiring about the status of our board of managers. We currently only have 2 board members and we can not get anyone to step up to be on the board. I am concerned that I will eventually be the only member left. I joined the board within my first year of ownership to give others who had been on the board for 10 plus years a break. We have gone from 4 to 3, now 2. I have many ideas of what I think would be fair, but I can't force anyone to be on the board or to actually participate.

Can anyone give any input on what happens when no one is willing to be on the board of managers or where I might find information on this topic? I have been googling like crazy but I haven't been finding much info. I did run across this site "Community Associations Institute" and was thinking about joining looked like it might be helpful. Does anyone have any positives or negatives about this group?

I feel like I'm over my head lately and I am trying to find some good legal and business advice for our community.

Sincerely,
Christian
