no trial payment of HOA attorney's fees

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

tenant's car was parked on grass...HOA towed it at 3am...I complained of noise of the towing and requested a refund of the towing fee...one year later received a notice of a $250 attorney's fee...disputed it...HOA added on more attorneys fee to $875...now they are taking my automatically paid assessments and applying them to this $875 attorney's leaving me with late fees and interest
