non-renter occupantWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas, I was relocated to Utah from Texas for my job. My bother in-law lives in our house on our property and pays the house payment as rent. He allowed a female who is now refusing to leave to live in our house for several years. Can I tell her to leave since she is not our tenant, or on any lease agreement? ![]() Last edited by owner53; 08-09-2009 at 11:47 AM. Reason: did not read right |

| No you cannot, she is in fact a tenant too, and should be treated as such, You have to legally evict her like everyone else has to do. Sorry. |

| Especially, especially, especially, since she has lived there a few years. What would make you think that, that wasnt her home too? and why should she not be awarded the same rights as everyone else who has a home? Evict by your state's book. (texas) Get one. |
