Hello,
I lice in a condo that has a leaky roof. The HOA has been in the process of re-roofing the building (for the last 9 months). My unit has been leaking for some time now and the leaks have cause drywall to fall from the ceiling in the living room, bedroom and closet. I have emails and made phone calls for them to come out and at the very least make temporary repairs the roof. They finally did but it did not stop the leaks. There is now mold ont he drywall in my ceilings.
My question is can I hire a roofing contractor myself to do the leaks and can i make them pay/refund the cost of the roof repair and interior drywall work?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
