Slapped with 13k unforeseeable assessment fee and we could lose our home?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WA State

Short story of what's been going on. HOA gets votes from home owners and pursues litagation with construction company who built these condos..they settle and start construction...(which was a nightmare)...construction is over, they went way over budget and slapped everyone with huge assessment fees. We don't have the $...I feel it's Hoa's fault for mismanaging money, and they even got people to sign to go ahead with construction by downplaying how severe the construction would be, We didn't even get to vote on what type of construction, they just went ahead and did it, over spent and now we have no money to pay this fee. omg what do we do?

attornies? laws? rights of tennants? They gave us two options: pay now lump sum, or vote for a 5 year loan (they do not tell us the interest rate or anything). So it's sort of bullying tactics like do this or that, you have no other option except what///get a lien on our house. Anyone who argues with them is singled out...there is no group here to fight it.
