smoking ban

What is the name of your state? new jersey

can the condo association institute a smoking ban on the outside of our front balconies and pool area . after being an owner for 6 yrs. this just went into effect yesterday for our summer vacation place. can we be grandfathered in or something. i can understand inside building with no smoking but we are outside sitting outside my condo that we are being told no smoking. please help1

This is a matter you need to discuss with a real estate atty who can review all your docs for the unit. Smoking in condos has become a new area that condo boards are trying to regulate.
